Our story begins in 2000 in a small shop in Nicosia. With only two employees – the two owners of The Mary Lou Shop – we got into the furniture market selling second-hand furniture with origins from the Netherlands. 

Moving forward to 2006, we moved to a bigger showroom at Athalassas Avenue, for a new beginning, and with that, we turned a new page and stopped selling second-hand furniture. We started importing brand new furniture straight from the U.S.A. and France. At the same time, we decided to expand the business by bringing in and selling home decorations as well. Which turned out to be an equally strong piece in our ever-growing collection. Presently, we work with big and well established brands from France and Italy, as well as a renowned brand from Greece. 

In 2015, we decided it was time to venture into new territory, and we got into the business of renovating, thus creating Mary Lou Renovations. So far, with the trust we had from our clients, we renovated both personal and professional settings (homes, appartments, restaurants, hotel and service units, banks and other professional spaces) for our customers. 

Being under the same Group, both “The Mary Lou Shop” and “The Mary Lou Renovations” are able to work together through collaborations, as the customer has the choice, after renovating their space, of picking furniture and decorations from our Shop. 

As of right now, here at Mary Lou, we employ up to 30 people, including interior designers, architects, civil engineers and many more. 

We have come a long way since we made our very first steps, and it is part of our vision to keep growing and to keep bringing even the smallest amount of joy to people by creating a space for them that they feel warm and safe.
